Lumber Jills Benefit and Let's Plan a Ladies Night Out to Laugh!
The Lumber Jill's are holding a fundraiser this Saturday 5/21 here in Plattsburgh. Right now there is a contest for 5 free tickets. Who wants in? Check out the Facebook EXDRAGAGANZA page here.
Then Visit Haus of Starr and Lumber Jills on Facebook. Become a fan to show your support. Then look for a comment left by me (Carrie Coty). Please leave a comment under my wall message. Will gladly bring 5 coupon clippers with me (and spring for my own ticket)! I need an evening of good friends, good food, good wine, and a ton of laughs. We just might all have to break out the Stride Underpants for this one!!
Summer Roadtrips & Twizzlers
My mother loves Twizzlers and I can recall many fine family trips to Fort William Henry in Lake George NY that involved lots of Twizzlers and Miracle Whip. I have lots of fond memories of family trips to Lake George, but these days its more of a shopping adventure than a family vacation destination (that we enjoy). Last summer we trekked to Old Forge NY and honestly it was exceptional bang for the buck. It's on the to do list for this summer.
This Year Twizzlers will certainly be one of the no mess summer snacks that join us on our family jaunts. Emma will be thrilled and I will be happy that there is no gigantic disaster mess to clean up in the car.
Where will you take Twizzlers this year?
Statue of Liberty?
Abroad?
Check out Twizzlers online Road Trip suggestions. I am blogging about twizzlers and summer road trips today and entering a contest for a Twizzlers Landmark Summer promotion prize pack as a member of the Mom Bloggers Club. CLICK HERE to visit Twizzlers today!
Here's some inspiration found in the Twizzler's info sheet I found in my email:
According to family travel expert Emily Kaufman, “The Travel Mom,” families are starting to think past the backyard “staycation” and are rediscovering the freedom of the open road. Kaufman shares the following tips for a fun and safe family road trip:
■Create a boredom bag. Convert a hanging travel cosmetic case into a case full of fun and hang it from the seat back in front of the kids’ seats. Consider creating fun works of art with Twizzlers
Pull ‘n’ Peel Candy before snacking on them!
■Take your trip “online.” From GPS systems to phone applications, trips are no longer a navigation nightmare.
■Think through the snacks you pack. Avoid packing snacks that are easy to spill like juice boxes or snacks that melt. Try plastic bottles with sports tops and bring along Twizzlers Candy or Twizzlers Nibs Candy – they are easy to share and don’t melt, making them the perfect car ride treat.
