Still alive, but treading water.

I am still alive, but will be taking a tiny break over the next week. There are no scheduled Sunday coupon inserts tomorrow. I hope everyone has finished shopping and can enoy a relazing holiday with friends and family.

We are recovering from a broken pipe disaster in the basement and the death of our beloved pug Taz. We are so thankful to The Green Mountain Pug Rescue for saving him from a terrible home. Taz was a puppy mill boy and had a rough start in life. He was blind as a bat, but full of love. We were so blessed to have him with us for 16 months. We hold the pug rescue (Karen, Judy, Claudette, and Lil- to name a few) close to our hearts. They look at their tiny angels and see them for all their puggy goodness. They work non-stop to give their pugs a second chance at life.

Rayovac is not a battery company that I knew well until I started shopping at Target.  They are ALWAYS in the $1 backets near the entrance. They are $1- all of the time (AAA and AA 2 packs).  I have never had an issue with their coupons- EVER!  The coupons match up with the Rayovac BLUE packages (Not the Red).

Books are the greatest gifts on earth.  I love them.  I give them for every occasion and love to find them in packages addressed to me.  (With the exception of one book gift.  Funny story- The gesture was great and still much appreciated, but the event rather interesting.  This spring I was given a Thank You gift that included a journal- here is the interesting part- it was for a Cancer Patient.  It was beautiful and thoughtful and I am sure it would make a lovely gift for a Cancer patient...The whole event had me scratching my head and saying "Do I look that bad?"...In summary I concluded that the gift was not based on a poor obervation  or assumed medical condition- it was purchased and given by a male.  I think he saw pink and flowers and truly tried to do something thoughtful.)

I ran into Hannaford to scope out the Jackpot of  "Coupon Pads".  I hate shopping there and do not find that I save much at all.  I know it is less congested than Price Chopper and it is certainly better than Walmart, but I do not save there- EVER.

Target released a new Target Printable Coupon page on their site. I have already been linking to it for you. But, there are a few changes for you as a couponer and blog reader that I wanted to share.

I have often blogged about the Target Coupon Generators and have linked to them about a million times. With the new Target Printable Coupon page, you will no longer be able to print printable store coupons anywhere but the Target site.

With this new change, you will also be restricted to using two coupons. So, it will be much like the Printable Coupon Sites where you can only print two coupons per IP address. The expiration of the coupons aren’t known until you print the coupon, which is much like a rolling Bricks or Printable coupon too.


You can read the Printable Coupons FAQ on Target.com for more information. The good news in all of this…you can still STACK Target Printable coupons with manufacturer’s coupons to save even more!

Canvas People

I cannot tell you how thrilled I am with my FREE canvas 8x10.  I have read about Canvas Wraps, but had never seen one in person- I am in love and will be spending a bunch of $$ transforming a wall in my living room.  The 8x10 is great, but I am dying to get my hands on a large one.  The shipping was very reasonable (less than $13) and you can order them as gifts at the intro price.  My mother and mother in law will be getting their "gifts" soon, but have been warned that they are re-gifting them to me (and told not to get attached).

Gift Of Savings:  Rite Aid's Gift of Savings starts again Tomorrow 11/22 and runs until 12/24/09.  If you reach the highest reward the gift certificate will ship within days of offer completion.

This is an amazing program.  Here are the Reward Levels:

For example: Buy a cart full of Hocus Pocus totalling $35.  Use a $5/$20 adperks coupon, $20 worth of Manufacturer's coupons and $5 worth of Rite Aid Sale Paper coupons- pay $5 out of pocket.  They will credit you the full $35 towards the Gift of Savings Program.  Enter every receipt you get- even if there are no SCR items in the transaction.

Santa Buddies Blu-Ray coupon

CLICK HERE to print a $10 off coupon for Santa Buddies DVD/BluRay combo pack.  The Walmart price is $26.86 for combo pack,  The DVD is only $9.98.  These have been scanning fine with the DVDs, but be aware that it might get rejected if the cashier actually reads the coupon.  I do not know what Price Chopper's price point is, but they are running a BUY 4 DVD/Blu-Ray, Get a $25 gift card through 12/31/09.  If they are priced at $19.99, that deal may be one to aim for.
