Community Project #2- how much of an effect can we have?

If you have attended one of my workshops or followed the blog for long you already know that my goal in all of this is not to hoard. My goal is to help other people and stretch my limited resources as far as I can. I want to spend less on what my family needs in order to give more to others.

I now have a massive roll of "Donated By A Coupon Clipper With Love" stickers (with the blog address).

Here is my vision. When you have a coupon for something free, no matter what it is- get it. Slap a sticker on it and pop it into the "Food Shelf"(Share with a hungry neighbor bin) on your way out of the store. Walmart, Price Chopper, and Hannaford have these bins. Other businesses may have them, but I am not sure.

We will bless a family in need by providing something they physically need (food, personal care items, cleaning supplies, etc). We can do this with very limited impact to our personal budgets. And best of all we will provide them with a tool to help them stretch their limited incomes. Imagine if you were trying to feed a family of 19 (Homage to The Duggar Family), but no matter how hard you tried your food stamps was not enough to feed your family. Now imagine them using coupons and finding $$ saving tips from "Our Blog" to make ends meet. I think we can make a huge impact in the North Country. We may not be able to employ all of the people that are losing jobs and income, but we can help them stretch their limited income and reduce stress for them in the process.

Let me know if you would like some stickers!
  1. I can dole them out at work (CVPH/SUNY)
  2. I can mail them to you.
  3. I can set some aside for you if you are attending an upcoming coupon party.
  4. I can schedule a meet up to swap coupons and stickers.

We can make a huge change!
