A few months ago I heard about a great program for bloggers that provides them with FREE books in exchange for an honest opinion review. I applied and so far it has been a fun experience. I just finished "The Map" by David Murrow. The first 100 pages were great. The book was very DaVinci Code up until that point.
Overall the author is trying to get more men to go to church. The beginning tale is exciting and enjoyable. Then the author drops a bomb (I will not elaborate as to not ruin the surprise). The rest of the book was a bit tedious and difficult to plow through. This book would make a great read for a Church (Christian) based book club. It would also make an excellent read for a man struggling to find his faith. The book centers around the gospel of Matthew and aims to show the reader a map or plan to encourage men to follow Jesus and the Map living life as he intended. I loved the beginning, but hated the rest.
This opinion is my own. I was provided with a free copy of the book in exchange for writing this review. I was not compensated in any way.
If you would like a copy of the book please email me carriescoupons (at) AOL (dot) com. I would be delighted to pass this book onto a reader.
