2010 Eating Free™ Holiday Free-For-All: Free Weight Loss and Diet Tools- Wow!!!
http
Meet Manuel. He has a gift for you! Eating Free founder Manuel Villacorta is working hard to help beat the obesity plague in America. We are waging that war in our house. My husband and I are both a bit more "pleasingly plump" than we should be. We have replaced all caloric beverages with water and the tread mill is no longer collecting dust. Randy has been diligent and making progress- I have yet to step foot on the thing. The tread mill was a very expensive tool I thought we would use because of the guilt I thought I would feel if I shelled out over a grand and then let it go unused. No such luck! I don't think I have powered it up more than 4 times in 4 years. I am hoping the speakers, built in fans, and ability to go online for challenging programs will push me in the right direction in a few more weeks. I am planning on starting with casual strolls on the sucker in another week or so. As usual I digress...back to intended post content.
According to Eating Free; "The average American woman gains between one and 10 pounds over the holidays, a time of year that’s especially challenging when food-focused friend and family get-togethers pepper the calendar, the comforting scent of seasonal cooking and baking is in the air, and temptation lies at every turn." Sounds pretty accurate to me.
You are all getting a FREE GIFT (and my husband and I are too):
In an effort to help women and their loved ones eat, drink, and be merry—and not gain a pound—between two major “diet sabotage” dates—Thanksgiving 2010 and Super Bowl Sunday 2011—EatingFree.com will offer its online service for free starting Monday, November 15, 2010 until Sunday, February 6, 2011.
Yes..... FOR FREE!!!
In addition to free use of the Eating Free online service, users will receive a free three-month-long Holiday Weight Management Support Package that includes access to recipes and sample menus, useful tips emailed daily, weekly radio podcasts, and monthly educational webinars led by Eating Free founder Manuel Villacorta. Geared to provide an “added boost” in helping people get through the season’s particular challenges, the entire package is valued at more than $500 per person. Personal coaching is available for an additional fee.

EATING FREE: A BETTER DIET DESIGNED FOR THE REAL WORLD
Developed by American Dietetic Association national media spokesperson and award-winning registered dietitian Manuel Villacorta, Eating Free is based on the latest scientific information that allows people to eat more, exercise less, and still lose weight. Over the last six years, Eating Free has helped thousands of clients in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Japan, Israel, and Switzerland collectively lose tens of thousands of pounds while eating all the foods they love. On average, over 80% of people who use Eating Free lose the weight and keep it off for more than a year.
“As opposed to fad diets that strictly limit fats or carbs, Eating Free encourages people to eat items from all food groups—even holiday favorites like turkey dinners, holiday cookies, and champagne—in proper portion sizes and in combinations that actually fuel weight loss,” said Villacorta.
The beauty of Eating Free is its simplicity: Using your desktop computer, laptop, handheld device, or Eating Free’s upcoming iPhone app, you begin by completing a simple online questionnaire, which generates a customized weekly (as opposed to daily) nutrition plan. Each day, you record your food consumption online using a simple series of drop-down menus; Eating Free guides you to make the right decisions for your meals and—if you overeat—auto-corrects your plan to ensure that you stay on track with weight loss.
Eating Free™ gives you back the food and the life you love…and still makes it possible for you to lose weight! Developed by nationally recognized, award-winning registered dietitian Manuel Villacorta, the Eating Free weight management system has helped thousands of men and women—many of whom have suffered from chronic weight problems for years—lose the weight and keep it off for good. I think this will be an excellent tool in helping us shed a whole lot of blubber. I am really excited about the iPhone ap. That factor alone will help "sell" my husband on this handy dandy tool! I am excited to share this deal with everyone. I am taking advantage of this free offer and have not been compensated in any way. I have high hopes to "win" the battle with the scale.

A New Card Company and Give-A-Way! Thank You Cards Direct!

Today I am going to share a great new card company and a contest. Cards Direct recently sent me a generous gift card to use myself and a $50 Gift Card to give a way here on my blog. I have not placed my order yet, but it is on my "to do" list for today. Cards Direct carries lovely photo cards (at a competitive rate), but they also carry a line of high end cards and invitations. All of their cards are beautiful. Today I am working on a baby shower invitation. The designs are all so breathtaking that it was hard to choose. The paper and envelope choices are vast and translate into haute couture cards and stationery.
The baby shower I am helping with is for a dear friend. Every baby is a miracle, but this baby has been long awaited and has been her mommy's greatest wish for many years. I can think of no greater use for fine stationery than an event like this one. Her nursery theme features a giraffe. When I thought about the giraffe theme, I never imagined that I would find cool invites that had anything to do with the nursery theme. Giraffes can be cool thanks to Cards Direct. Look at this beauty.
It is trendy, matches the theme, and will look so cute in a scrapbook! Check out the complete baby shower invite line here. My plan is to upgrade to one of their mega special paper stocks (felt I think) and tie it all together with mother of pearl lines velum envelopes.
Cards Direct offers personal use and business use cards as well. They offer value packs of general use cards as well as personalized event/holiday themed greetings. Their "Thank You" cards are immaculate and would truly help convey how touched you are by a gift or gesture that was bestowed upon you.
With the holiday season around the corner, Cards Direct is offering some of their most popular designs at discount prices based on purchase size. The Cards Direct site is very helpful and simple to navigate. I love the "custom option" box that pops up with each card. It allowed me to see all of the options available with each design and displayed detailed pricing information. There is no need to bounce in and out of a shopping cart to figure out the pricing details. That is a very helpful feature and I have not seen anything quite like it on any other card making web site. It is very customer friendly.
Cards Direct has a variety of Christmas and Holiday cards. They also offer custom Photo Cards for any and every occasion. Their line of Birth Announcements makes me want to rent some one's uterus- just so I can order some. Is it tacky to send out beautiful birth announcements for your Four year old with an apology to explain that the first set simply did not do your child justice? Which Birth Announcement would you choose?
I think this one is my personal favorite:
Cards Direct also offers FLAT RATE SHIPPING! $5 flate rate for ground shipping in the US! This is a huge savings if you are trying to compare photo greeting card prices.
