Tiny Prints- A Good Option for Holiday Cards- A Review

Birth Announcements, Graduation Announcements, Fathers Day Cards, Baby Shower Invitations, & More from Tiny Prints

I love Tiny Prints and have ordered several times from them in the past.  Their new line of holiday cards was recently unveiled and I am having a hard time narrowing down the choices.  CLICK HERE to explore the latest selections in the Tiny Prints 2011 Holiday collection. Right now they are offering a 15% discount until 10/18 with use of special offer code : 15fall

How Will You Display Your Holiday Cards?
I am going to try something new this year.  I am attaching strings of beaded garland (looks like Christmas tree lights) to the door of my coat closet.  I plan on attaching cards to the garland with festive mini clothes pins that I found in the $1 bins at Michael's.  I have hope that it will turn out well and that the cards will stay where I put them.  If not I am not afraid to break out the duct tape.  Do you think it will work? Any tips to making this project a success from the get go?

I love unique photo cards on nice paper.  Tiny Prints makes this easy for me to achieve.  I love their rounded edge and accordion cards!

 Candy Cane Square Christmas Cards
International Color Christmas Cards

Tiny Prints will be providing me a coupon for 50 FREE Holiday Cards.  As always my opinions are my own.  I have not been provided with any other compensation for this post.  What will I do with this voucher?  Share it with a lucky Reader.  I will choose the winner 10/25/11 at noon.  Good luck!!

Alive, Well, and Blogging Again

Well the whole Price Chopper fiasco- aka- no more double coupons- put a crimp in my couponing.  It's taken lots of tangible reinforcement to motivate me to shop at Walmart (ack).  In the process of learning a whole new system of shopping I found Hannaford again.  I know it sounds like a religious conversion, but I really found a whole new Zen like shopping experience there.  I have a good deal post for the week going up in a bit, but first I figured we would get the ball rolling with a give-a-way!  Whats up for grabs? A $25 Sam's Club Gift card, courtesy of My Blog Spark.  Fed Ex delivered mine today and I am more than happy to share that Sam's  Club is celebrating back to school with a kicked up "Box Tops For Education Program".  I'll share more after my shopping trip tomorrow, but in the mean time- please enter for your chance to win a $25 shopping spree.

I'll pick a winner Tuesday 8/9 @ 9am- Good Luck!

Magazine Giveaway- A gift From Me for Three!

This morning I had a great offer from Amazon in my in-box.  If you know me, you know that we now have well over 30 free (weekly/monthly) magazine subscriptions.  My mail man thinks we're nuts.  We cannot possibly read them all and I have imposed a "no more for us" rule.  Yes, I will pass along the free offer info here, but I am not signing up for more.  With that in mind I would like to give a gift to 3 readers.

What's up for grabs?
  • One Six Month Subscription to Rolling Stone (MSRP $51.05)
  • One 12 WEEK Subscription to US Weekly (MSRP $47.00)
  • One 12 MONTH Subscription to Men's Journal (MSRP $47.40)
I will choose one winner at random (for each) on Thanksgiving 11/25/10 (around 9pm).  Each winner will receive their prize in the form of a gift subscription from me via Amazon.com.  The winner of each can choose to get the magazine sent to them or can choose to gift it to someone they know.  You can enter to win all three.  Good Luck!

Master Lock 1500iD Speed Dial Combination Lock- Review and Giveaway

A few days ago I blogged about "Master Lock Vault" internet security program. CLICK HERE to read my review of that program and product.  It is a great concept and a great service to make your online life secure and your personal information protected.

The fine folks at Master Lock sent me an interesting little lock today.  I found it on Amazon.com and there is a link to the product with the widget.  My husband thinks it is really cool.  It has kept him busy for over an hour.  Just imagine what a little boy would think of such a gift.  This lock is very different from other Master Combination locks.

According to Randy:
  • You can operate it easily with one hand. ( I envision amputee.  he envisions an arm full of tools and only 1 free hand)
  • The mechanism moves in 4 directions and the lock can be reset.  There are no numbers to remember only thumb movements.
  • It's a nifty lock and I have a feeling it would make a great stocking stuffer for dads, husbands, sons and the like.
Why am I telling you all of this? Because it's contest time again.  Master Lock will drop ship the same prize pack I got today to a lucky CCC reader.  One Entry per person. I will use random.org to pick a winner next Monday 11/15/10 at noon!

A New Card Company and Give-A-Way! Thank You Cards Direct!

Today I am going to share a great new card company and a contest.  Cards Direct recently sent me a generous gift card to use myself and a $50 Gift Card to give a way here on my blog.  I have not placed my order yet, but it is on my "to do" list for today.  Cards Direct carries lovely photo cards (at a competitive rate), but they also carry a line of high end cards and invitations.  All of their cards are beautiful.  Today I am working on a baby shower invitation.  The designs are all so breathtaking that it was hard to choose.  The paper and envelope choices are vast and translate into haute couture cards and stationery.

The baby shower I am helping with is for a dear friend.  Every baby is a miracle, but this baby has been long awaited and has been her mommy's greatest wish for many years.  I can think of no greater use for fine stationery than an event like this one.  Her nursery theme features a giraffe.  When I thought about the giraffe theme, I never imagined that I would find cool invites that had anything to do with the nursery theme.  Giraffes can be cool thanks to Cards Direct.  Look at this beauty.
It is trendy, matches the theme, and will look so cute in a scrapbook!  Check out the complete baby shower invite line here.  My plan is to upgrade to one of their mega special paper stocks (felt I think) and tie it all together with mother of pearl lines velum envelopes.

Cards Direct offers personal use and business use cards as well.  They offer value packs of general use cards as well as personalized event/holiday themed greetings.  Their "Thank You" cards are immaculate and would truly help convey how touched you are by a gift or gesture that was bestowed upon you.

With the holiday season around the corner, Cards Direct is offering some of their most popular designs at discount prices based on purchase size.  The Cards Direct site is very helpful and simple to navigate.  I love the "custom option" box that pops up with each card.  It allowed me to see all of the options available with each design and displayed detailed pricing information.  There is no need to bounce in and out of a shopping cart to figure out the pricing details.  That is a very helpful feature and I have not seen anything quite like it on any other card making web site.  It is very customer friendly.

Cards Direct has a variety of Christmas and Holiday cards.  They also offer custom Photo Cards for any and every occasion.  Their line of Birth Announcements makes me want to rent some one's uterus- just so I can order some.  Is it tacky to send out beautiful birth announcements for your Four year old with an apology to explain that the first set simply did not do your child justice? Which Birth Announcement would you choose?
I think this one is my personal favorite:

Cards Direct also offers FLAT RATE SHIPPING! $5 flate rate for ground shipping in the US! This is a huge savings if you are trying to compare photo greeting card prices.

GIVEAWAY DETAILS:  Here is the fun part!  I have a $50 gift certificate in my hands for one lucky Cadyville Coupons Clipper reader/follower.  There are many ways to enter.  Entries can be left here in the Comment section of this very post (please make sure to enter your email in the form or entry).  Entries can also be left on the Facebook Contest Announcement on Facebook.  Entries left there will be copied and pasted over to this post's comments by me.  Each person can enter up to 4 chances to win.  Here is how to earn each of the 4 entries:

1.  Visit the Cards Direct web site, look around then come back and leave a comment sharing what you might order if you win.

2.  Follow the Cadyville Coupon Clipper via Google Friend Connect (Widget in Rt hand column of blog).
Leave another comment that you are following via GFC.  If you already follow- just leave the comment.

3.  "Like" Cadyville Coupon Clipper on Facebook (CLICK HERE).  Come back and leave a msg that you are followin along on Facebook.  If you are already following, just leave a comment.

4.  Follow me on Twitter (Carriescoupons).  Send me a tweet @carriescoupons , then come back and leave another comment entry.

You can leave the 4 entries here in comments or on facebook under the contest link wall post.  I will choose a random winner on Saturday November 6th at noon.  I will notify the winner at once and give them the gift card code for $50 worth of Cards Direct product!  Good Luck!

5 Sparks To Brighten Your Holiday Cards This Year

I always remember to create fun and festive holiday cards but last year in the hustle and bustle I packed away a box of stamped and addressed Christmas cards when we started decorating for the holiday.  This year I am going to be ahead of the game.  Here are some ideas on how to rescue old cards and some new ideas to inspire your holiday greeting projects.

Find A Box Of Cards You Forgot To Mail Last Year?
I can't be the only one.  What to do? I am not throwing them out.  Festive photo labels with new pictures and a poem about my absent mindedness will be slapped over the festive seal on the back of all the envelopes.  Voila- 2 years worth of updates in one.  And I won't even have to buy stamps.  A huge "I'm Sorry, but  forgot EVERYONE" to everyone that did not get a holiday card from us last year.

Do you have a pre-schooler that is learning a new skill?
Cutting, pasting, writing, drawing- put your little helpers to work.  I took advantage of a neat freebie yesterday.  A free (no S&H or tax) 50 pack of origami paper.  CLICK HERE to check it out (you do not want to sign up for the orange cleaner bonus- just the paper!) here. These little squares can be turned into snowflakes, bookmarks, and lovely warm fuzzies from your little one to all of the loved ones on your holiday card list.

Create a Themed Photo Card and Family Newsletter.
If you from dysfunction junction (my hand is raised high), pay homage to your crazy family- embrace what you have.  A train theme would be nice.  Kids swinging from the rafters? A Barrel of Monkeys theme would be fun.  Turn lemons into lemonade! Celebrate the out of ordinary and the oddities that make your family unique.

Did you go on an exciting beach vacation? Have any left over sand?
This idea would drive my mother nuts.  Let the kids go crazy with glue and sand on the front of a folded stationary card.  Include a vacation family photo and some glitter to add a little magic to the dirt. Smile as you mail them out imagining all of the relatives you will drive insane.  Imagine sand and glitter mess- they expect the glitter, but the sand will add texture and a whole new dimension. Just don't do it with sand from Hawaii- unless you plan on flying everyone and every speck of sand back to cleanse the bad luck spell that will besiege you.

Have a New Recipe To Share?
This year the jam and jelly is particularly good around here.  I have a mounting stack of Emma photos- Child covered in jam; mashing berries, stuffing them in her mouth.  If I didn't already have cards I would totally make a collage of my jam covered child and send it off with a recipe.

I hope you have found my ideas a bit refreshing.  This little post was inspired by the fine folks at Purpletrail.

They have tons of great ideas for livening up your holiday card.
Be sure to check out PurpleTrail’s personalized holiday cards for inspiration. With their tools you can incorporate photos as well as holiday card and images and can personalize these cards using the PurpleTrail design center to make them look exactly how you want them to. CLICK HERE to check out their holiday card design tools.

As my medical leave pushes into week #2 I am finding my days focused on one thing- winning contests.  Thanks to the folks over a Purple Trail my creativity is renewed and this post was inspired by the possibility that I might win a gift card.  No guarantees but worth the chance.  By posting about creative ways to jazz up holiday greetings I am participating in a giveaway for PurpleTrail.com and I am eligible for a PurpleTrail gift code. Feel free to take advantage of this offer if you have a blog as well.  The more creative ideas, the better.  Contest details are available HERE.
I am really impressed with how easy the Purple Trail system is to use.  I made this card in about 2 minutes.  I love their digial special effects and creativity tools.  Have fun with this one- it is addictive!
