• One- Get $5 gift card with purchase of 3 scrubbing bubbles coupons.

I will pay a grand total of $8.97 plus tax out of pocket. I will get back $20.00 in Target gift Cards and I can submit the transaction to SC Johnson to get a $5 MIR.

Bottom Line: Keep 39.99 worth of cleaning products Pay 8.97 get back $20 in target gift cards and $5 in the form of MIR check. This is a huge $$ Maker- the gross profit will be $16.03 plus all of the cleaner.

I will then repeat this transaction many times in separate transactions over time. I have enough BOGO refill coupons to complete the deal twice. I have enough coupons to score 20 kits with 20 $5 off coupons and will get back 20 $5 Target Gift Cards.

What will I do with all of the cleaner? I certainly would not think of using it all. I will donate most of it and give some away at coupon parties. Imagine the possibilities with the gift cards. The sky is the limit!!

Couponing For The Community- For The Coryea Family

One of the biggest benefits of using coupons to get free and really cheap stuff is that I can stretch my budget and give generously to others without breaking the bank. I get to give our stockpile away to those in need. I am often amazed at the generosity of couponers who are out hitting the stores with their coupons just so that they can make donations to their local church, animal shelter, hospital, homeless, veteran or animal shelter, schools and even to our troops overseas. Couponers are an incredibly generous group of people!

Kaley over at Cha Ching on a Shoestring has organized a "Couponing for Community" event this week, May 2 - 8 which challenges people across the country to give a part of their stockpile away to a homeless shelter, food pantry, or a friend in need. In fact, you can RSVP to the event Couponing for Community that Kaley has organized on Facebook. You are also invited to share comments or pictures of the items you are giving away! This is a great opportunity to go through your stash and find stuff that you may not use before its expiration or to just make room for more of your great deals!

Who am I supporting? One of my favorite Crazy Coupon Ladies- Kristina Coryea. This week I was able to use a generous gift from one of my sponsors to score some great pantry shelving for Kristina and Emma. My hope is that we can turn their basement into a wonderful pantry and give her space to stockpile and not worry about storage. Kristina has been couponing with me for over a year. I love my mailbox on days when it is overflowing with coupons, samples, free magazines and unexpected packages. Kraft has a wonderful program that promotes new products by providing coupons for FREE products, coupons to share with friends, and exclusive printable coupons.

Frugal -vs- Cheap

This is an interesting topic. REcent research shoes that white, middle to upperclass females in rural areas are the most likely to use coupons and feel good about using them. I don't mind the word cheap, but I have heard a few to many cashiers throw the word around when they are frustrated with my massive stack of coupons. I consider myself to be frugal, resourceful, and genius for the ways I use coupons. These are all good qualities. I ran across this and thought it was worth pondering:

1. A frugal person doesn't go out to dinner when they can't afford it, and pays their fair share when they do. A cheap person doesn't leave enough money to cover their portion of the bill, thereby causing the rest of the group to pay for them.
2. A frugal person borrows DVDs from the library. A cheap person makes illegal copies of the DVDs for their own personal library.
3. A frugal person has a grocery budget and cooks healthy meals from scratch. A cheap person eats Top Ramen every night even though they can afford much better food.
4. A frugal person doesn't spend every penny they earn, and leaves an inheritance. A cheap person eats cat food for dinner and lives in squalor while they have a million dollars in the bank.

Not taking care of our own health and well-being could be considered being cheap with oneself. I want to be both frugal and generous, and I don't think they're mutually exclusive.What are some other examples of when frugal goes too far and enters the land of the cheap?
